Cricket was a dog I met when Harry studded with her. She is the mother of Leah whom I chose as a stud fee. Cricket's owners decided to move to Michigan and not take her with them. I jumped at the chance to buy her after seeing the beautiful puppies she and Harry have. I think Yorkies can do well in a home with well behaved children where the parent is very involved with how the pup and child interact. Especially until the puppy is grown and more able to tolerate the handling. Well, Cricket was in a home where the only attention she got was from a boy about 7 yrs. old. He was very rough with her, including pulling her across the livingroom by her hair so he could wipe off the drool she got on his arm after she became car sick. She didn't even nip or growl. I was amazed at her tolerance, stunned at the lack of correction from his parents and glad that as of that day, she would no longer have to tolerate that treatment just for a little attention. |
